OPPO Reno12 Series Launched with Quad-Curved Displays and Advanced Specs

Oppo has introduced the Reno12 and Reno12 Pro models, which feature a quad-curved display and are both thinner and lighter than their predecessors. The new models are the first in the series to use Gorilla Glass protection on the front, offering enhanced durability. Both phones come with a 6.7-inch OLED display, boasting a 1,080 x 2,412-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. They also share the same 5000mAh battery with 80W fast charging capabilities and utilize LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The Reno12 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8250 Star Speed Edition SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It features a triple-camera setup on the back, including a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom. The Reno12 Pro model includes a 50MP main camera with a larger IMX890 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 50MP 2x telephoto module. Both models include AI-powered smart features in the camera app, such as transcription and summarization of dictations, as well as a document scanner capable of handling math formulas.

Additional features for both models include an IP65 water and dust resistance rating, an in-display fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6, and the latest Android 14 OS with ColorOS 14 custom skin. The Reno12 series is available for pre-order in China, with sales starting on May 31. The starting price for the Reno12 in China is approximately $375, while the Pro version is priced at around $470.
