Nintendo to Release Official Switch Joy-Con Charging Stand in Japan
Nintendo has announced the launch of a new Joy-Con charging stand for the Nintendo Switch, set to be released in Japan on October 17, 2024. The stand, priced at 3,300 yen (approximately $20 USD), will allow users to charge up to two Joy-Cons either vertically or horizontally, without needing to connect them to the Switch console. It is also compatible with the wireless Famicom Joy-Cons. Pre-orders are available through the My Nintendo Store in Japan.
The stand is seen as a potential indication of future developments, with speculation suggesting it may be compatible with a rumored new version of the Switch that could feature redesigned Joy-Cons with a magnetic attachment system. Currently, there are no plans announced for its release outside of Japan.
