Xbox Set for Special Broadcast at Tokyo Game Show 2024 on September 26
Microsoft has confirmed a special Xbox broadcast event for the Tokyo Game Show 2024, scheduled for September 26. The event will feature content from Xbox Game Studios, Activision, Blizzard Entertainment, and Bethesda, along with games from third-party partners based in Japan and across Asia. The announcement was made by Larissa Hazel, Director of Gaming Integrated Marketing for Asia. This comes after Microsoft closed its Japan-based developer, Tango Gameworks, following significant layoffs in its gaming division.
The live broadcast will start at 7pm JST (3am PT / 6am ET / 11am UK) and will be accessible on the Tokyo Game Show’s official YouTube channel and select Xbox social channels. The event will include localized language options and sign language interpretations. Rumors suggest that games like Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Final Fantasy 16 could make their Xbox debuts during the show. The broadcast will also highlight new additions to the Xbox Game Pass lineup.
