Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP Releases on September 25 for All Major Platforms

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, a remake of the 2012 cult classic, is set for release on September 25, 2024, across multiple platforms including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Dragami Games, this updated version aims to enhance the original game with quality-of-life improvements and additional gameplay content. The game will feature full HD resolution, improved load times, and a new "Chained Hits Hunting" system that increases the attack speed of the player's chainsaw.

The game will offer two modes: Original Mode, which stays true to the original game, and RePop Mode, which introduces less violence and pop-art damage effects. The remake also includes 30 costumes, four new hair colors, four new chainsaws, and a time attack mode with ranking features. Enhanced gameplay mechanics, such as improved input timings for combo actions and an upgraded Chainsaw Blaster, are also part of the package.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will be available for digital download with a physical edition set to release in October. The game supports multiple languages for both voice-overs and text, catering to a global audience. The decision to remake the game was influenced by fan requests and licensing issues with the original music, leading to the inclusion of original compositions to ensure long-term distribution. The remake, led by producer Yoshimi Yasuda, aims to be more user-friendly and enjoyable for both existing fans and new players.
