Honor Magic V3 Debuts as Thinnest Foldable, Undercuts Galaxy Z Fold 6
Honor has launched the Honor Magic V3 foldable phone, succeeding the Magic V2 and competing with the recently released Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6. The new model boasts a slimmer profile, measuring 9.2mm when folded and 4.35mm when unfolded, and weighs 226 grams. The device features a 6.43-inch LTPO cover screen with FHD+ resolution and a 1-120Hz refresh rate, and a 7.92-inch internal display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, includes 16GB RAM, and offers storage options up to 1TB. The phone runs on MagicOS 8 and includes various AI features, smart private call, parallel space, and two-way satellite communication.
The Magic V3 is designed with a 7-series aluminum alloy frame and an IPX8 rating, making it water-resistant up to 2.5 meters. It also incorporates a side-mounted ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a larger vapor chamber cooling system. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a 20-megapixel selfie camera. Pricing for the Magic V3 starts at CNY 8,999 ($1,240) for the 12/256GB model and goes up to CNY 10,999 for the 16GB RAM and 1TB storage variant. The device is expected to be available in international markets following its initial launch in China.
