On May 8th, HoYoverse is set to release version 2.2 of its popular turn-based sci-fi RPG, Honkai: Star Rail. The update, titled "Then Wake to Weep," will conclude the Penacony story arc and introduce new Dreamscapes such as Dreamflux Reef, Moment of Sorchsand, and the Penicony Grand Theater. The update will also include a new Path for the Trailblazer, additional areas in Penacony, and the weekly boss, the Great Septimus—a gigantic mechanical conductor.

Players can expect the introduction of new characters, Robin and Boothill, with Robin being a new physical unit. The update will also see reruns for the 5-star characters Topaz and Fu Xuan. Additionally, players will be able to redeem Redemption Codes for 100 premium currency and 50K in-game currency, although these codes will expire the day after the update goes live.

The game continues to attract a large player base, boasting nearly 22 million estimated players in the past month. Despite its success and being available on multiple platforms including iOS, Android, PC, and PlayStation 5, Honkai: Star Rail's recognition has often been overshadowed due to its mobile-led status. Nonetheless, the game has shown financial growth and maintains a strong community of players.

To mark the occasion, HoYoverse will also stream the Honkai Star Rail Concert on YouTube on May 1st. For those who have yet to experience the game, Honkai Star Rail is available for download on the App Store for iOS, Google Play for Android, and the Epic Games Store.
