April Home Listings Adjust Prices in Various Counties, Median Values Updated

Real estate market trends in April showed variations across different counties in the United States. In Washington County, the median home price was $698,750, a slight decrease of 0.2% from March, but up 3.5% from the previous year. The homes in this county were larger than the national median, with a median size of 2,341 square feet and a higher price per square foot of $304.

Middlesex County saw a more significant drop in median home prices, with a 7.3% decline from the previous month to $998,875, though the price per square foot increased by 5.1% to $488. Homes in Middlesex County spent a median of 17 days on the market, much quicker than the national median of 47 days.

In contrast, Minnehaha County's median home price decreased by 2.2% to $384,975, still showing a 5.5% increase year-over-year. Calhoun County, however, experienced a slight increase of 0.2% from March to a median list price of $250,380, an 8.9% rise from the previous year. The price per square foot in Calhoun County also surged by 21.1%.

Worcester County's median home price saw an uptick of 4.9% to $550,925 compared to the previous month, and the price per square foot increased by 6%. Portage County reported a 1.4% increase in median home price to $373,793, with the price per square foot rising by 7.8%.

Across the nation, the median home price stood at $429,950, reflecting a slight increase from March. The median size of homes listed for sale in the United States was 1,840 square feet. These regional and national figures highlight a diverse and dynamic housing market, with different areas experiencing unique shifts in pricing and market speed.
