U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris has announced over $1.5 billion in aid for Ukraine amid Russia's 27-month invasion of the country. This aid package includes $500 million in new funding for energy assistance and $324 million redirected from previously announced funds for emergency energy infrastructure repairs and other needs in Ukraine. Additionally, $379 million in humanitarian assistance will be provided by the State Department and the US Agency for International Development to support refugees and others impacted by the war. This humanitarian aid will cover food assistance, health services, shelter, and water, sanitation, and hygiene services for millions of Ukrainians.
