UFO Sighted Over Ukraine by Recon Drone
A video captured by the Ukrainian 406th Battalion purportedly shows a disk-shaped object flying over Ukraine, sparking discussions about its origin and nature. The footage, which was recorded using a "heat vision" quadcopter drone, was shared on the social media platform X by a user known for posting updates on the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. According to the battalion, the unidentified flying object (UFO) was detected at an altitude exceeding 500 feet and was located approximately 30 miles from the drone's position.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF) are reported to have a fleet of over 300 such heat vision drones that have been used extensively since the conflict with Russia began in February 2022. The video has attracted attention, with some observers questioning the authenticity of the footage, suggesting it could be a drone or a digitally altered image. Others refer to the Ukrainian military's well-documented use of drones in warfare, noting their success in targeting enemy equipment.
This incident follows a year after Russia reported significant disruptions attributed to a UFO sighting that led to the temporary closure of airports and the grounding of passenger flights. Ukraine's innovative use of cost-effective homemade drones has been a notable aspect of the conflict, contributing to the reported destruction of tanks and warships. Russian losses since the start of the war are estimated to include 6,060 tanks and approximately 400,000 personnel.
