Tragedy Strikes: NHL Star Johnny Gaudreau and Brother Killed by Drunk Driver on Sister's Wedding Eve

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, were killed in a bicycle accident in Salem County, New Jersey. The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Pennsville Auburn Road near Stumpy Lane in Oldmans Township. The driver, Sean M. Higgins, is suspected of being under the influence of alcohol and has been arrested on two counts of death by auto.

The Gaudreau brothers were reportedly preparing to be groomsmen in their sister's wedding. The Columbus Blue Jackets issued a statement expressing their shock and devastation, highlighting Johnny Gaudreau's contributions both on and off the ice.
