The actor posted a message on Instagram stating that these ads, which promote "miracle cures and wonder drugs," were created fraudulently using AI technology. Hanks emphasized that he has no involvement with these posts, products, or treatments and urged fans not to be misled by them.

This warning follows a similar incident in October, where Hanks had to address a deepfake video that used his likeness to promote a dental plan. Hanks, who manages his type 2 diabetes with the help of his board-certified doctor, reiterated that he does not endorse any of the products being promoted in these unauthorized ads. The rise of AI-generated deepfakes has raised concerns about misinformation and the unauthorized use of public figures' images.
