Swiss Private Equity Giant Partners Group Opens Hong Kong Office Aiming at Chinese Private Wealth

Swiss-based Partners Group has opened a new office in Hong Kong, marking its seventh location in Asia and bringing its total number of offices worldwide to 21. Henry Chui, the Head of Private Wealth for Asia Pacific, will lead the Hong Kong office. The new office will focus on strengthening relationships with clients and investment partners, and will serve as a gateway for investments into mainland China. Partners Group has been present in Asia for nearly two decades and currently employs over 550 people in various cities including Manila, Mumbai, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. Founded in 1996, the firm had US$147 billion of assets under management as of last year. The Hong Kong government has also introduced measures to attract billionaires to set up family offices for investment, philanthropy, and succession planning.
