Stellar Blade Demo Launches on PS5 with Progression Transfer
On March 29, a demo for the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 game Stellar Blade will become available to players. The demo was briefly released on the PlayStation Store earlier in March before being removed, but now it's officially set for release. Players will experience the first stage of the game, which includes a tutorial phase to help familiarize themselves with the combat system and gameplay mechanics.
The protagonist of Stellar Blade, Eve, is a member of the 7th Airborne Squad on a mission to reclaim Earth from an alien race known as the Naytiba. Players who complete the demo will have their progress, including save data, carried over to the full game when it releases on April 26. Sony has teased a hidden surprise within the demo for those who finish it, potentially adding further incentive to engage with the early release.
Stellar Blade is not a first-party Sony title but is expected to be one of the PlayStation 5's main exclusives for 2024. The game has garnered attention for its character design and inclusion of jiggle-physics, sparking discussions about the portrayal of female characters in video games. Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer SHIFT UP will offer the full game with voice-over options in multiple languages, catering to a diverse gaming audience.
