Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Enhanced Edition Arrives on All Platforms This August

Aspyr Media has announced the re-release of the 2002 action-adventure game Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, set to launch on August 1, 2024. The game will be available on modern platforms including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The remaster will feature enhanced visuals, improved environmental textures, dynamic lighting effects, and a new flashlight tool to aid in dark areas.

Players will take on the role of Jango Fett, the Prime Clone of the Grand Army of the Republic, equipped with dual blasters, a flamethrower, and a whipcord. The game also includes a new Boba Fett skin that can be unlocked by completing the main campaign. The PlayStation 5 version will utilize the DualSense controller to display health status and voice comms. The game, originally released for the PS2 and GameCube, acts as a prequel to Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.

Despite the anticipation, Aspyr Media has faced scrutiny over its previous remasters, including issues with the Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection. However, fans of the original game will have the opportunity to experience it with modern enhancements and controls. Preorders for the remastered edition will be discounted by 10% to $18.
