Sony Unveils PS5 Community Game Help With User Gameplay Uploads

Sony Interactive Entertainment is set to introduce an update to the PlayStation 5's Game Help feature, allowing for the inclusion of Community Game Help. This new service will be available to all PS5 users, with or without a PlayStation Plus subscription, and is expected to roll out later in the year for select games, with the intention of expanding to as many titles as possible.

The enhancement will enable players to share gameplay footage, which the system will automatically capture and could potentially use as hints for other players. This user-generated content will complement developer-created Game Help videos, providing a more comprehensive support system for gamers. Participants will have control over their contributions, as they can opt-in or out through the PS5's settings and even set a monthly capture limit.

Players will be able to view hints and tips from other players and rate their usefulness, which Sony believes will help curate the most informative content. The service will capture only raw gameplay footage, ensuring that no audio or images from players' webcams, microphones, or party chats are shared. Players will also have the ability to remove any video they have uploaded to the Community Game Help hub.
