Sen. Fetterman and Wife in Maryland Crash, Escape Major Injuries

U.S. Senator John Fetterman and his wife, Gisele, were involved in a car accident on Sunday morning in Hancock, Maryland. The collision occurred shortly before 8 a.m. on Interstate 70 near the intersection with Interstate 68. Fetterman was driving a Chevrolet Traverse when he rear-ended a Chevrolet Impala. Both the Senator and his wife were transported to War Memorial Hospital in West Virginia for treatment of minor injuries and were discharged later that day.

The driver of the Impala was also taken to a hospital in West Virginia for unspecified injuries. No citations were issued at the scene, and the Maryland State Police are continuing their investigation into the incident. Senator Fetterman, who has previously been treated for depression and suffered a stroke during his campaign in 2022, is reportedly doing well and plans to return to Washington, D.C., for Senate votes.
