Search underway for escaped Lincoln County inmates
The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is currently conducting a search for two inmates who escaped from the Lincoln County Jail in Tennessee. The inmates, identified as Christopher Matthew Meeks, a 29-year-old male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5’3” and weighing 150 pounds, and Walter James Allen Sr., a 52-year-old male with gray hair and blue eyes, standing 5'11" and weighing 210 pounds, are both considered escapees from the facility.
Local law enforcement has warned the public not to approach either individual if spotted, and instead to immediately contact authorities. The Sheriff's Department has not released specific details regarding the escape, but has emphasized the importance of community assistance in locating the individuals. Citizens with any information are urged to call 911 or their local police department to report sightings or provide leads. The escape occurred near the Tennessee-Alabama border, and as of now, there is no indication of the direction in which the inmates may have headed.
