Russo Brothers in Talks to direct Avengers 5 & 6

Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors behind some of Marvel's most successful films, are reportedly in early discussions to direct the next two Avengers movies. The Russos have previously directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, which collectively grossed $6.681 billion worldwide. Avengers: Endgame is particularly notable, standing as the second highest-grossing film of all time with $2.79 billion.

Marvel Studios has been seeking directors for the fifth and sixth Avengers films, following the exit of Jonathan Majors, who was set to star as the villain Kang but was cut from the project after a conviction for assault. The fifth Avengers film was previously titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty. While details on the discussions with the Russo brothers are still emerging, an official announcement might be made during Marvel's upcoming panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
