'Presumed Innocent' Renewed for Season 2 with a Twist

Apple TV+ has renewed the legal drama "Presumed Innocent" for a second season. Based on Scott Turow's best-selling novel, the show has become the most-viewed drama on the platform since its premiere on June 12. The first season, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as prosecutor Rusty Sabich, will conclude with its final two episodes on July 17 and 24.

The upcoming season will introduce a new case that disrupts the Chicago Prosecuting Attorneys' office, involving a murder with one of their own suspected. It remains uncertain if any of the current cast members, including Gyllenhaal, will return, though Gyllenhaal is confirmed to continue as an executive producer alongside David E. Kelley, J.J. Abrams, and author Scott Turow. The series is produced by J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot Productions and David E. Kelley Productions in association with Warner Bros. TV.
