Police to Announce Arrests in Murder of Jacksonville Rapper Julio Foolio
The Tampa Police Department is set to announce multiple arrests in connection with the shooting death of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio, whose real name is Charles Jones II. The incident occurred on June 23 in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn in Tampa, where Jones was celebrating his 26th birthday. The shooting also resulted in three other individuals being injured.
Jones, known for his involvement in the Jacksonville gang KTA, had been previously targeted in multiple shootings over the past four years. He was in Tampa celebrating his birthday and had to relocate to the Holiday Inn after being asked to leave an Airbnb for exceeding the occupancy limit. The upcoming press conference, scheduled for 1 p.m., will feature Tampa Police Chief Lee Bercaw, Hillsborough County State Attorney Suzy Lopez, and Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters. The event will be broadcast live on multiple platforms, including the First Coast News streaming app and News4JAX.
