Police Tape Off Drake's Home Following Nearby Shooting Incident
In the early hours of Tuesday, a shooting took place near the Bridle Path neighbourhood in Toronto, close to the corner of Bayview and Lawrence Avenues. The incident, which occurred at approximately 2:10 a.m. local time, resulted in one man sustaining serious injuries. He was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment. Following the shooting, police cordoned off the area, which included the property of Canadian rapper Drake, though he was not harmed in the incident.
The suspect involved in the shooting fled the scene in a vehicle, and as of now, authorities have not released a description of either the suspect or the vehicle. Police are continuing their investigation into the shooting, which unfolded outside Drake's 50,000-square-foot mansion.
This event comes amidst a highly publicized rap feud between Drake and Kendrick Lamar, with Lamar recently spotlighting Drake's home in the cover art for his diss track. However, it remains unclear if the shooting has any connection to the dispute or the fact that the location of Drake's home was made public.
