PlayStation Shuts Down Concord, Offers Full Refunds

PlayStation Shuts Down Concord, Offers Full Refunds

Sony Interactive Entertainment and Firewalk Studios have announced that their new hero shooter game, Concord, will be taken offline on September 6, just two weeks after its release. The decision follows a challenging launch marked by low sales and player engagement, with peak concurrent users on Steam reaching only 697. Concord's removal from sale is effective immediately, and full refunds will be issued to all purchasers.

Refunds will be processed automatically for those who bought the game through the PlayStation Store or PlayStation Direct, returning funds to the original payment method. Customers who purchased the game on Steam, Epic Games Store, or through other retailers will also receive refunds. Once the refunds are processed, players will no longer have access to the game. Sony and Firewalk Studios have stated that they will explore options to better reach players in the future.
