Philippine Ship Allegedly Collides with Chinese Vessel in Disputed Waters

China's Coast Guard has accused a Philippine vessel of deliberately colliding with a Chinese vessel in the South China Sea. The incident, described by China's maritime security as "unprofessional and dangerous," reportedly occurred near Xianbin Jiao around 3:24 a.m. on Monday. According to the China Coast Guard (CCG), the Philippine vessel then intruded into the waters of Ren'ai Jiao and later attempted to enter Sabina Shoal but was prevented from doing so. Two additional Philippine Coast Guard vessels were also accused of "illegally intruding" into the waters near Sabina Shoal without permission.

CCG spokesperson Gan Yu stated that these actions have seriously infringed upon China's sovereignty and have disrupted peace and stability in the region. China has implemented control measures against the Philippine ships and has issued warnings for the Philippines to cease what it terms as provocations or face consequences. The Philippines has not yet responded to requests for comment on the incident.
