Perfect Dark Reboot Stuns with First Gameplay Trailer

Microsoft has unveiled the first gameplay trailer for its upcoming game, Perfect Dark, during the Xbox Games Showcase. The game, initially announced in 2020, is being developed by The Initiative in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics. The trailer showcases the protagonist, Joanna Dark, on a new mission set in a near-future Cairo, featuring both lethal and non-lethal weaponry, stealth tactics, and a variety of mission approaches.

The Perfect Dark reboot marks the series' return after more than two decades, with the original debuting in 2000. The game will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Game Pass. Despite the anticipation generated by the trailer, no release date has been provided yet. Microsoft has not disclosed whether the game will feature an open-world environment or self-contained levels, but it has confirmed that it will be a day-one entry on Xbox Game Pass.
