OnePlus Launches AI Eraser for Photos, Promises More Features
OnePlus has unveiled a new AI-powered photo editing feature called AI Eraser, which allows users to easily remove unwanted elements from their images. The technology is similar to Google's Magic Eraser and Samsung's photo editing tools in the Galaxy AI suite. The AI Eraser will fill in the gaps left after the removal of objects with a background that blends seamlessly with the rest of the image. The feature leverages Oppo's LLM, AndesGPT, and is integrated within the Photo Gallery app on OnePlus devices.
The AI Eraser feature will be rolled out starting April to several OnePlus smartphone models, including the OnePlus 12, 12R, 11, Open, and Nord CE 4. The release signals OnePlus's commitment to introducing more AI features, as previously seen with the AI Call Summarizer and Breeno Touch. OnePlus COO, Kinder Liu, has indicated that the company plans to continue enhancing user creativity and productivity through the integration of AI technologies into their devices. The new feature represents a significant step in OnePlus's R&D efforts and is in line with their vision for a more intuitive user experience.
