Netflix to Premiere Vince McMahon Docuseries 'Mr. McMahon' on September 25
Netflix has announced the release of a new documentary series, "Mr. McMahon," set to premiere on September 25, 2024. The six-part series will chronicle the rise and fall of Vince McMahon, the former WWE Chairman and CEO, who transformed the company into a global entertainment powerhouse. Directed by Chris Smith, known for "Tiger King," and executive produced by Bill Simmons, the series will feature over 200 hours of interviews with McMahon, his family, business associates, and journalists.
The documentary will explore McMahon's career, including the steroid scandal, sexual misconduct allegations, and his resignation from WWE in 2022. The series is produced by Library Films in association with Ringer Films. Despite initial uncertainties due to ongoing controversies, Netflix confirmed the series will proceed. The aim is to offer a nuanced portrait of McMahon's life and legacy, covering both his contributions to the entertainment industry and the serious allegations against him.
