Netflix Greenlights 'Receiver' Docuseries with NFL Stars
Netflix is expanding its NFL docuseries offerings with "Receiver," a follow-up to the successful "Quarterback" series from 2023. The new series, set to premiere in the summer of 2024, will focus on the experiences of several top NFL wide receivers and tight ends throughout the 2023 season. The eight-part series will feature prominent players such as Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders, Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings, George Kittle and Deebo Samuel of the San Francisco 49ers, and Amon-Ra St. Brown of the Detroit Lions.
The series is produced by NFL Films, Omaha Productions, and 2PM Productions, with executive producers including NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning and Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes. "Receiver" aims to provide an in-depth look at the lives and challenges of elite NFL pass-catchers, offering fans an intimate perspective on what it takes to play at the highest level.
