Missy Smasal, Witt, Subramanyam Secure Democratic Nominations in Virginia Races
Missy Cotter Smasal has secured the Democratic nomination to represent Virginia's 2nd Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Smasal defeated Jake Denton with 68% of the vote, as reported by the Associated Press with 22% of votes counted. She will face incumbent Republican Rep. Jen Kiggans, who won the seat two years ago by defeating Democrat Elaine Luria.
