Microsoft Outage Disrupts Bing, Copilot, and ChatGPT Users Globally

Microsoft services, including ChatGPT Plus, Bing Search, Copilot, and DuckDuckGo, experienced a significant outage early Thursday morning, affecting users globally. The disruption, which began around 3 AM ET, caused blank pages and 429 errors for Bing and Copilot users, while DuckDuckGo simply reported errors in displaying search results. Users from various regions, including India and Europe, reported difficulties accessing these services.

Microsoft acknowledged the issue on its @MSFT365Status X page and is currently investigating the cause. OpenAI, which supports ChatGPT, also confirmed its involvement in the investigation. Although most services have been restored, some, like DuckDuckGo and Microsoft's AI Copilot, remain partially affected. This outage follows a previous incident in January when Microsoft Teams experienced a widespread service disruption across North and South America.
