Michael C. Hall Returns for Dexter's 'Resurrection' and 'Original Sin' Series

Michael C. Hall is set to reprise his role as Dexter Morgan in two new spinoff series for Showtime. Announced at San Diego Comic-Con, Hall will star in "Dexter: Resurrection," a sequel series set in the present day, scheduled to premiere in Summer 2025. He will also lend his voice to narrate "Dexter: Original Sin," a prequel series set in 1991, which follows a young Dexter, played by Patrick Gibson, as he transitions from student to serial killer. "Dexter: Original Sin" is expected to debut on Paramount+ with Showtime in December.

The announcement was made during the Comic-Con panel, where Hall appeared alongside other cast members, including Patrick Gibson. "Dexter: Original Sin" will be a 10-episode series set in Miami, featuring Hall as the inner voice of young Dexter. The sequel, "Dexter: Resurrection," will follow the events of the original series and the first spinoff, "Dexter: New Blood," which aired in 2021. Production for both series is currently underway, with "Dexter: Original Sin" being filmed in Miami and Los Angeles.
