Metallica Rocks Fortnite Festival with Concert and New Game Mode

Metallica is set to make its debut in Fortnite later this month, featuring prominently in the game's upcoming Season 4 Festival. The event, titled "Metallica: Fuel. Fire. Fury," will include a virtual concert experience featuring six of the band's popular songs. This concert will be available on June 22 and 23, with six opportunities for players to view the performance. The band members—James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo, and Lars Ulrich—will also be featured as unlockable characters within the game, along with Lego versions of themselves.

The collaboration between Metallica and Fortnite includes various themed elements and new game modes. Players can engage in Metallica-themed quests, unlock band-themed collectibles, and compete in a new "Battle Stage" mode. This mode involves 16 players battling to achieve the highest score across a four-song setlist. The event will also introduce new items such as the "Ride the Lightning" guitars and a floating Metallica Loot Island. Additionally, the Fortnipe Festival starting on June 13 will feature a new "Thrash Mountain" track in Rocket Racing and several other Metallica-themed features.

Epic Games has confirmed that the Metallica collaboration will span from June 13 to August 16, 2024, as part of the new season. Players will have access to four Metallica skins, which can be obtained through the Festival Pass and the Item Shop, along with free rewards. The Festival Pass will also include new festival quests and a collection of Metallica rewards, with a Premium Reward Track available for purchase. The season will offer a comprehensive Metallica-themed experience, marking one of Fortnite's most significant forays into the music world.
