Man in Critical Condition After Being Hit by Car
A 34-year-old man from Mosta was critically injured after being hit by a car on Luqa Road in Qormi, Malta, at 10:30 pm on Friday. The car, a Toyota Passo, was driven by a 30-year-old man from Cospicua. The injured pedestrian was transported to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was later certified to have serious injuries. Magistrate Antoine Agius Bonnici has initiated an inquiry, and police investigations are ongoing.
In a separate incident, a man in his 30s is in critical condition after being struck by a car in Swindon. The incident took place on Queens Drive in the early hours of Saturday morning, leading to the closure of the northbound carriageway. The victim was taken to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol with life-threatening injuries. Wiltshire Police are conducting a forensic collision investigation and have advised drivers to seek alternative routes and expect delays in the area.
