Lisa Kudrow Stars in Apple TV+'s Comedic Adventure 'Time Bandits'

Apple TV+ is set to premiere a new comedy and adventure series, "Time Bandits," on July 24. The series, based on Terry Gilliam's 1981 film of the same name, follows an 11-year-old history enthusiast named Kevin, played by Kal-El Tuck, who discovers his bedroom serves as a portal for time travel. The plot revolves around Kevin joining a band of time-traveling thieves led by Lisa Kudrow's character, Penelope.

The series, which features a cast including Tadhg Murphy, Roger Jean Nsengiyumva, Rune Temte, Charlyne Yi, Rachel House, Kiera Thompson, James Dryden, Felicity Ward, Francesca Mills, and Imaan Hadchiti, will release its first two episodes globally on Apple TV+ on July 24, followed by two new episodes every Wednesday through August 21. Created by Jemaine Clement, Iain Morris, and Taika Waititi, the show also includes special guest appearances by Clement and Waititi.

In addition to the trailer release, the series has faced allegations from cast members like Charlyne Yi, who claimed they experienced physical assault and were denied workers' compensation during production. Paramount TV Studios has addressed these concerns, taking steps to ensure the safety of the cast and crew.
