Keir Starmer and Rishi Sunak Cast Votes in UK General Election

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer, accompanied by his wife Victoria, cast his vote in the Holborn and St Pancras constituency during the UK's general election on July 4. The couple arrived hand-in-hand at the Willingham Close TRA Hall polling station in London, surrounded by police protection officers. The election, marking the first time voters are required to show photo ID, saw polling stations open from 7am to 10pm.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak also cast his vote, doing so in North Yorkshire, while SNP leader and First Minister John Swinney voted in Perthshire. With predictions favoring a Labour majority and a potential defeat for the Conservatives, the first exit poll is anticipated shortly after the polls close. The results of the election are expected to be declared from 11:30pm onwards, with the vast majority of seats announced by 9am the following day.
