Kambi Group names Werner Becher as new CEO

Kambi Group Plc has appointed Werner Becher as its new CEO, succeeding Kristian Nylén, who will step down after 14 years in the role. Becher, who will officially assume his position on 25 July, previously served as CEO for Sportradar’s EMEA and Latin America business and held senior roles at Interwetten. Nylén, who announced his retirement earlier this year, will continue to support Becher to ensure a smooth transition.

Becher's appointment comes as Kambi Group embarks on a "modularisation strategy" to diversify its platform and expand its client base. The company is also targeting further expansion into Asia, aiming to launch in a major regulated market by 2027. This strategic shift includes recent acquisitions such as Abios and Shape Games, aimed at enhancing Kambi's position in the sports betting industry.
