iPhone 16 Pro Models Rumored to Get Massive Battery Boost

Apple's upcoming iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are anticipated to feature significant battery capacity increases compared to their predecessors, according to a leak from Chinese Weibo-based leaker Instant Digital. The iPhone 16 Pro is expected to see a 9% increase, reaching 3,577mAh, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will experience a 5% boost to 4,676mAh. These enhancements are attributed to efficiency improvements and increased energy density, which are likely to provide longer real-world usage on a single charge.

In addition to the larger batteries, the iPhone 16 series is expected to support faster charging capabilities. Both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max models are predicted to offer 40W wired fast charging and 20W MagSafe charging. The improvements in battery technology may allow these devices to achieve a 30-hour battery life, surpassing the current iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is capable of up to 27W peak charging speeds.
