Heinemann and BWC to Operate Duty-Free Stores at Noida International Airport

Heinemann Asia Pacific, in partnership with BWC Forwarders Private Limited, has been awarded the concession to operate duty-free and retail outlets at the Noida International Airport (NIA) in India. This collaboration brings together Heinemann's experience in operating retail outlets in international airports such as Singapore's Changi, Hong Kong, and Auckland, with BWC's expertise in handling domestic and international duty-paid retail.

Passengers traveling through NIA will have access to a broad array of premium brands, encompassing categories like liquors, tobacco, confectionery, perfumes, cosmetics, fragrances, and chocolates. The retail experience is intended to showcase a seamless integration of duty-free luxury shopping with the convenience of domestic retail options.

NIA CEO Christoph Schnellmann has expressed confidence that the partnership will deliver an unparalleled shopping experience, combining Indian hospitality with Swiss efficiency. The airport, in its initial phase, is designed to accommodate 12 million passengers annually and will feature a single runway and terminal. The duty-free stores will not only offer international brands but also provide a platform for local culture and handicrafts, highlighting the artisanal heritage of the Uttar Pradesh region.
