Hallmark's Mamie Laverock on Life Support After Tragic Balcony Fall

Mamie Laverock, a 19-year-old actress known for her roles on the Hallmark series "When Calls the Heart" and the film "This Means War," is on life support after falling from a fifth-story balcony on May 11. The fall, attributed to a medical emergency, resulted in life-threatening injuries, and she has since undergone multiple surgeries. Initially hospitalized in Winnipeg, she was later transferred to a Vancouver hospital, where she is expected to stay for an extended period.

Her parents, Rob and Nicole Compton, have shared that while her recovery remains uncertain, she is showing signs of improvement. The family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to cover medical expenses and to support their ability to be with her during her treatment. As of May 28, the campaign has raised over 11,000 CAD, surpassing its initial goal. Co-stars Erin Krakow and Johannah Newmarch have publicly urged their followers to contribute to the fund.
