Govt to Prioritise Gas Supply for Industries: Adilur
Adilur Rahman Khan, the Interim Government's Adviser to the Ministry of Industries, announced that the government will prioritize ensuring gas supply for the industrial sector to reduce import dependency and save foreign currency. He emphasized the importance of addressing problems in fertilizer production as part of this initiative. Additionally, Khan highlighted the need to improve the leather industry in Savar and ensure environmental compliance in the ship-breaking industry.
Khan stated that stringent measures will be implemented to prevent corruption and make these institutions profitable. He pointed out that many of the Ministry's institutions are currently losing money and corrective actions are necessary. These steps follow a detailed discussion at the city's Secretariat with senior Ministry officials, aimed at addressing the challenges faced by various sectors.
