Fatal Crash: Driver Dies Hitting Wall in West Las Vegas
In a tragic incident in the west Las Vegas valley, a driver lost their life in a single-vehicle accident. The crash took place on Friday night, around 8:12 p.m., on South Jones Boulevard at the intersection with Cromwell Circle. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the driver was heading southbound when the sedan collided with the corner block wall of a residence, resulting in the vehicle rolling over.
The driver, who was the sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released further details about the victim or the circumstances leading up to the crash. The collision prompted the closure of Jones Boulevard in both directions from Cromwell Circle to Alta Drive, with police advising motorists to avoid the area as the investigation by Metro's fatal detail unit continues. The section of the road between Alta Drive and U.S. 95 remains closed, and there has been no indication of when it will be reopened.
