Dyson Introduces OnTrac Wireless Headphones Without Air Purification

British technology company Dyson has introduced its new OnTrac headphones, priced at $500. Unlike its predecessor, the Zone, which combined audio playback with air purification, the OnTrac is solely focused on delivering high-quality sound. These over-ear headphones feature 40mm speaker drivers and an active noise cancellation (ANC) system capable of reducing up to 40dB of ambient noise. The battery life extends up to 55 hours with ANC activated, and the headphones support various audio codecs including SBC, AAC, and LDAC.

The OnTrac headphones are designed with user comfort and sound quality in mind, offering a frequency range from 6Hz to 21kHz. The headphones are customizable with a variety of materials and colors, and they integrate with the MyDyson App for real-time sound tracking and EQ adjustments. Dyson has also announced a significant investment of £250 million over the next three years to further advance its audio technology.

Dyson's new offering aims to solidify its presence in the high-end audio market. The OnTrac headphones incorporate advanced noise monitoring technology, using eight microphones to continually assess and limit background noise. They are constructed from lightweight materials like aluminum and microfibre, emphasizing durability and comfort. The headphones will be available in multiple regions, including Australia, where they are set to retail for $799 AUD.
