Disney to Increase Prices on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ This Fall

Disney is set to increase the prices of its streaming services Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ starting October 17. The ad-supported version of Disney+ will rise from $7.99 to $9.99 per month, while the ad-free version will increase from $13.99 to $15.99 per month. Hulu's ad-supported tier will increase to $11 per month and $110 per year, while ESPN+ will cost $11.99 per month or $120 per year. These changes aim to boost Disney's streaming revenue and profitability.

In addition to the price hikes, Disney will introduce new content offerings. Starting September 4, Disney+ subscribers in the U.S. will gain access to ABC News Live and a preschool content playlist. Premium subscribers will also receive four curated playlists, refreshed monthly. Despite the increases in individual plan prices, Disney is keeping the prices of its Disney+/Hulu bundles unchanged to make them more appealing to consumers.
