Idea Factory International has announced that Death end re;Quest: Code Z, a roguelike RPG, will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in North America and Europe in 2025. The game will also launch in Japan on September 1, 2023, and will be available both physically and digitally. Written by Makoto Kedouin, known for his work on Corpse Party, the game will introduce a new protagonist, Sayaka Hiwatari, navigating a world of parallel universes. This marks the third installment in the Death end re;Quest series, following its predecessors released between 2018 and 2020.

Death end re;Quest: Code Z will feature a shift from the series' traditional turn-based RPG format to roguelike gameplay, including over 100 potential death endings. The game will be available with both English and Japanese voice tracks. Key series characters will return alongside new ones, with the story continuing the series' themes of navigating worlds plagued by bugs and death. The western release will also offer a Limited Edition through Idea Factory's online store, with further details on the contents to be revealed later. The opening theme will be composed, written, and arranged by Gesshoku Kaigi.
