David Beckham Becomes AliExpress Global Ambassador for UEFA EURO 2024 Campaign

AliExpress, an international online retail marketplace owned by Alibaba, has partnered with former England soccer captain David Beckham for a new campaign called 'Score More with AliExpress' for UEFA EURO 2024. The campaign, which aims to enhance consumer engagement, will offer millions of euros worth of coupons, match tickets, and other prizes. During the tournament from June 14 to July 14, AliExpress will run a 'Shake and Win' promotion, providing time-limited prizes following each goal. New users will also be entered into exclusive lucky draws as part of the initiative.

This collaboration with Beckham marks AliExpress's most significant global brand ambassador partnership to date and is part of a broader strategy to boost global sales. AliExpress is intensifying its efforts to compete with rivals like PDD Holdings' Temu and Shein, which have seen rapid global expansion. The company has also invested in global logistics to offer five-day delivery windows to 11 markets, aiming to leverage its competitive advantages. Despite an increase in losses in its international business unit, AliExpress's revenues rose by 45% year on year from January to March, underscoring its commitment to expanding its market presence.
