Colin Farrell Dominates Gotham in New 'The Penguin' Trailer

A new trailer has been released for the Max series "The Penguin," featuring Colin Farrell reprising his role as Oswald Cobblepot, also known as The Penguin, from Matt Reeves' 2022 film "The Batman." The series, directed by Matt Reeves and produced by Dylan Clark, Lauren LeFranc, Craig Zobel, and Bill Carraro, explores the power vacuum in Gotham City's underworld following the death of Carmine Falcone, played by John Turturro.

The eight-episode series will premiere in September and features Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone, the daughter of Carmine Falcone, alongside cast members Michael Zegen, Clancy Brown, and Rhenzy Feliz. Lauren LeFranc serves as the showrunner and executive producer. The Penguin's storyline will delve into Oswald Cobblepot's rise to prominence in Gotham's criminal underworld and his complex relationship with other characters in the city.

Produced by 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, "The Penguin" is based on characters created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger for DC Comics. The series aims to expand the cinematic universe of "The Batman" while introducing new layers to Gotham's dark and gritty narrative.
