Citi Appoints DBS’s Yeo as South Asia Wealth Chief

Citigroup Inc. has appointed Yeo Wenxian as the head of wealth management for the South Asia region and the United Arab Emirates, effective November 1. Yeo, who joins from DBS Group Holdings Ltd., where she spent 13 years in various roles, will report to Andy Sieg, Citi's wealth chief. She will oversee Citi’s retail onshore and offshore wealth management businesses in these regions and is set to become the Chief Executive Officer of Citibank Singapore, pending regulatory approval.

This appointment is part of a broader strategy under Citi CEO Jane Fraser, who is implementing significant changes aimed at improving the bank's performance, reducing costs, and simplifying its operations. Yeo's extensive experience at DBS, where she most recently served as head of Treasures Singapore and held other senior positions, aligns with Citi's goals of enhancing its wealth management capabilities and strengthening its presence in one of the fastest-growing wealth clusters globally.
