Chicago Police Warn of Recent West Side Smash-and-Grab Burglaries

Chicago police have issued a warning following a series of smash-and-grab burglaries targeting businesses on the city's West Side. The incidents, occurring in the Austin and Garfield Park neighborhoods, involved at least five offenders, with two acting as lookouts. The burglars broke through security gate locks and smashed doors or windows of at least three businesses to steal from cash registers or ATMs.

The crimes were captured on surveillance video, showing the suspects wearing hoodies, face masks, and gloves. As of now, no arrests have been made. The Chicago Police Department has advised the community to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
