Canadian Citizen Killed After Attempting Knife Attack on Israeli Troops
Israeli police and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed that a Canadian citizen was killed after threatening Israeli security forces with a knife near the Gaza border. The incident took place outside Netiv Ha’asara, a community near the Gaza border.
The suspect, identified as David Smith from Canada, arrived at the entrance to the Gaza border community by car and attempted to stab the troops. Authorities have clarified that Smith was not from the Gaza Strip but had arrived from within Israel.
