Cage The Elephant Unveils Charismatic Single 'Good Time'

Cage the Elephant has unveiled "Good Time," a new single from their forthcoming sixth studio album, "Neon Pill." The track features their signature blend of energetic drumming and layered guitar chords, with frontman Matt Shultz delivering the refrain, "Everybody had a good time." The single arrives as part of an album that promises a mix of the familiar and the innovative, according to Shultz, who has noted that the songwriting on "Neon Pill" represents a departure from the band's previous material while still resonating with the essence of their past work.

"Neon Pill" is scheduled for release on May 17th through RCA Records and will be available in digital, CD, and vinyl formats. The release follows Shultz's recent openness about a mental health crisis that led to an arrest in 2023. Despite this, the band continues to build on their success, with recent tracks from the album topping Billboard's Alternative chart.

To support the album, Cage the Elephant is embarking on a 45-date North American tour beginning June 20th in Salt Lake City, with festival appearances at Hangout Music Festival in Alabama and Bonnaroo in Manchester, Tennessee. The tour announcement comes as the band prepares to share more of the new material that has been developed with producer John Hill across studios in El Paso, New York, Nashville, North Carolina, and Los Angeles.
