Brad Pitt's Formula 1 Film Set for June 2025 Release by Apple
The upcoming Formula One film starring Brad Pitt is set for a global release on June 25, 2025, with a North American release on June 27, 2025. Directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Apple Original Films in collaboration with Warner Bros. Pictures, the movie will be shown in IMAX theaters. The film, which was delayed due to the US actors' and writers' strike, involves all 10 F1 teams, drivers, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), and race promoters.
Pitt will play a veteran F1 driver named Sonny Hayes who returns to the sport, with Damson Idris portraying his rookie teammate. The cast includes Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, Samson Kayo, and Callie Cooke. Lewis Hamilton serves as a producer and consultant for the film, which aims to capture the real-time excitement of F1 races. The budget for the movie is estimated to be around $140 million.
